Video Contest – Entries due on September 15, 2017
In anticipation of hosting the 20th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival, we are asking for people to create a short video promoting your home town, its architecture or its people. Your film can be funny, sentimental or political. You can relay a story about a favorite building or buildings… maybe you are proud of something or someone in your community. Maybe a historic homes, museum or business could be featured. From a single person to an entire university campus, all are perfect subjects. Perhaps you want to save a building from demolition. Maybe you want to create a music or dance video. The choice is yours.
Twenty four semi-finalists will be chosen from the submissions. Three will be shown each of the first eight days of the Festival with the audience voting for their favorite. The eight finalists films receiving the most votes will be shown on the ninth and final day of the festival for that audience to vote. The three films receiving the most votes will have their video posted on the Preservation Worcester’s website and receive a cash prize: $200 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third.
This video should be no more than 3 1/2 minutes in length and submitted on a DVD addressed to Harry Albert at Preservation Worcester, 10 Cedar Street, Worcester, MA 01609. They must be received by September 15th.
